Meet the Founders: Elizabeth and Sabrina's Mission Explained

Updated: 2 hours ago

In a world where many businesses focus solely on profit, Elizabeth and Sabrina stand out with their unique mission. Their journey began with a shared vision to create something meaningful, something that would not only benefit them but also the community around them. This blog post delves into their inspiring story, the challenges they faced, and the mission that drives them forward.

The Beginning of Our Journey

Some of the most meaningful journeys begin with a simple conversation between friends.

We have been close friends for more than a decade, united by a shared belief that every person deserves to live free from exploitation, violence, and abuse. Over the years, we watched story after story unfold involving human trafficking, child exploitation, and crimes committed against vulnerable individuals. Like so many others, we felt anger, heartbreak, and frustration as we saw victims continue to seek justice to no avail.

One moment that deeply impacted us was the public attention surrounding the Jeffrey Epstein case and the widespread perception that many questions remained unanswered. It reinforced something we had already been feeling for years: too many victims never receive the justice they deserve, and too many predators continue to evade accountability.

Rather than remain on the sidelines, we decided to act.

Our foundation was created to stand alongside organizations, investigators, advocates, and survivors working to combat human trafficking and the exploitation of children and vulnerable individuals. We believe lasting change requires awareness, education, resources, and unwavering support for those on the front lines.

This is more than a nonprofit to us. It is a commitment, a promise to use our voices, our time, and our resources to help protect those who cannot protect themselves and to support efforts that pursue justice for victims.

This is only the beginning of our journey, and we invite you to join us in creating a future where exploitation has no place and every survivor has hope.

The Idea Takes Shape

What started as conversations between friends soon became action.

Rather than simply talking about the issues, Sabrina and Elizabeth decided to take to the streets of Washington, D.C., and Baltimore with signs and a megaphone, determined to spark conversations and raise awareness about human trafficking, child exploitation, and the need for justice for victims.

We didn't know what to expect. But as more people stopped to ask questions, share their own stories, and express support, something remarkable happened. Strangers began asking how they could help. Many wanted to donate, volunteer, or become involved in the mission.

Those conversations made us realize this movement was bigger than the two of us.

What began as grassroots advocacy had the potential to become something capable of creating lasting impact. It was clear that people were looking for a way to stand together against exploitation and to support organizations working to protect vulnerable individuals.

That realization inspired us to take the next step: transforming our passion into a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness, supporting anti-trafficking efforts, and empowering communities to become part of the solution.

Our journey was no longer just ours, it had become a shared mission.

Overcoming Challenges

Building a nonprofit from the ground up has been both inspiring and challenging. Like many organizations just starting out, we quickly learned that passion alone isn't enough—it takes research, perseverance, and a willingness to overcome obstacles.

Some of the challenges we've faced include:

  • Finding the Right Cause to Support – We wanted to ensure our efforts would make a meaningful impact. This meant carefully researching organizations, speaking with advocates, and identifying where our time, fundraising, and awareness efforts could make the greatest difference.

  • Navigating the 501(c)(3) Process (Currently Pending) – Establishing a nonprofit involves extensive legal and administrative requirements. From incorporating the organization to preparing IRS filings and governance documents, we've been learning every step of the process while working toward official tax-exempt status.

  • Creating a Sustainable Organization – Building a nonprofit is about much more than having a mission. We've been developing a strategic plan, establishing policies, creating a board structure, building a brand, launching our website, and laying the foundation for long-term growth and accountability.

  • Building Community Support – Turning awareness into action requires earning trust, connecting with supporters, and growing a network of volunteers, donors, and partners who believe in the mission as much as we do.

  • Learning as We Go – Every challenge has been an opportunity to grow. We continue to educate ourselves, seek guidance from experienced nonprofit leaders, and adapt our approach so we can build an organization that will create lasting impact.

Every obstacle we've encountered has strengthened our resolve. While our journey is still in its early stages, each challenge we've overcome has brought us one step closer to building an organization capable of making a real difference.

Looking Ahead

While our journey is just beginning, our vision is ambitious.

We are building more than a nonprofit, we are building a movement of people who refuse to look the other way. Every conversation we start, every event we host, every partnership we create, and every dollar we raise brings us one step closer to making a meaningful impact in the fight against human trafficking and the exploitation of vulnerable individuals.

As we grow, our goals include:

  • Supporting reputable organizations that rescue survivors and provide long-term recovery services.

  • Expanding public awareness through community events, educational campaigns, and advocacy efforts.

  • Building partnerships with nonprofits, businesses, schools, and community leaders who share our mission.

  • Growing a network of volunteers and supporters who want to make a tangible difference.

  • Creating sustainable fundraising initiatives that maximize the resources we can direct toward organizations making an impact on the front lines.

This mission is bigger than Sabrina and Elizabeth. It belongs to every person who believes that every child deserves safety, every survivor deserves hope, and every trafficker should be held accountable.

Whether you choose to donate, volunteer, attend an event, or simply share our message, you become part of this story.

Together, we can raise awareness, inspire action, and help create a future where exploitation has no place and hope is always stronger than fear.

The journey is just beginning and we hope you'll walk it with us!
